mkay

I remember when I used to make these entries and it was almost like....I would stay up night hoping and praying for a lot of comments...

but now that I've grown up and matured so much, so I don't do that anymore...

now I hope that people comment on my facebook photos!!!

I'll probably hook up the interweb with a long reflective look back at my summer, but it might not be on xanga (sorry calvin and hobbes xanga page)

hopefully, the next time I talk to you I will have a youth pastor....

I'm not really writing becasue I necessarily have anything to say, it's more like I'm seeing if anyone will notice that I'm posting! I remember those days, when it almost felt wierd to let 2 or 3 days go by without gracing this baby with some more word-vomit...o how things change.

Heres a tip, when going on a trail in RB state park, KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING. Un;ess you want to walk an extra mile along the road to get ack to your car...:(

I guess I should spit out sports predictions for around the next year or so, seeing as how this ol' xanga idea just may die out soon.

The cardinals...ouch, could we maybe string 2 or 3 wins together? Or get 2 reliable starters? Or...wait, scratch that, 1 reliable starter seeing as how the only one we had was injured. Don't get me wrong, with the rotation we've got, I feel good about how they're doing, I wish Fat Albert would get it going .330, 40, and 130 style, makes things more bubbly. (oh, and I'm not a yankee fan, but have you seen what Alex Rodriguez is doing? This guys is so hot, I'm amazed his bat doesn't burst into flames, or the rubber on his shoes melts...I mean, in 15 games, he has 12 HR's. and 30 RBI's, I don't know how many games he'll play this year...and I know he won't keep this pace...but assuming he plays 150 games, he 's on pace to hit 120 homers, and have 300 ribby's. I'm happy for him, I was sick of hearing about how everyone in NY hated him, including Derek Jeter, and his mom...yay A-Rod)

missouri football, ah, here we go. I believe 11-1 (schedule is pretty favorable, most of our toughness is at home, where we're always good, Nebraska, A&M, and Tech all visit) in the regular season, and then ending the season 11-3, Losing our only regular season game at Oklahoma, and losing the Big 12 championship to them again, and then losing our bowl game to some team (sorry, but we have bad luck in bowls) "Why," You may ask, do I have this faith in the team? You tell me, when you have not 1, but 2 preseason watch lists for the Tight end of the year award (Mackey) You're QB is somewhere between 10 and 20 in several heisman watch lists, you have your top reciever, and top running backs coming back, and you got 98% of your scoring back...you tell me. What could puch this team into the elite teams of the country is if they can get some good defense....especially some run defense (when my grandma can rush for 100 yards against me, and she plays for Iowa State, there are problems.)

And thats all I have to say about that.

Yes, it is true.

My 10-2 Missouri football prediction was wrong, but come on, you can't tell me that for a while there you didn't believe me, it looked good. :(

But, I move on.

My birthday is in one week, yes, just the one. My 16th, I've heard its important...so if you see me cruising around in a car by myself, don't worry, its all good.

Thanksgiving's coming up everyone, be thankful. Really, just know that you're blessed.

Sports World

My sports-o-meter is going crazy right now. So much so that I decided to stay up stat-looking instead of sleeping.

The Cardinals are up 2-0 on the Padres and have a chance to sweep them tomorrow, they SHOULD do it because Suppans been pitching well, and Pujols is getting ridicilous again...and its at St.Louis.

The Twins got swept....I thought they would at least make it to game 7 of the ALCS before losing...man...poor Twinsies

The Yankees got spanked tonight, wowza. I still think they should win the series, but they have no momentum, they're still in Detroit, and not a great-pitcher taking the mound for them tomorrow, good luck Yanks.

And how about them Tigers? Tomorrow should be an AWESOME (and even) game. Let me hit y'all with some stat knowledge that I've gained this week that makes the game super exciting.

Chase Daniel and Graham Harrell (the two QB's) are the top 2 offensive players in total yardage in the Big 12. And here are some crazy even stats that makes this game...well...crazy...
-Missouri averages 33 points a game, Texas Tech averages 33.8
-Missouri is the 10th best pass defense in the country,Texas Tech is the ninth

But here are some things that should help the Tigers out
-Texas Tech is the worst rush defense in the big 12, allowing 150 yards a game, Missouri is the second best rushing offense in the Big 12. Look for Tony Temple and the rest of the running back corps to run all over the Red Raiders for a HUGE game. Once Texas Tech makes the adjustment to cover the run, Chase Daniel will air it out and we'll begin pulling away.
-Texas Tech has given up 5 sacks this season in 5 games, but they haven't met as tough a pass rush as Missouri this year...look for Graham Harrell to be flushed out of the pocket and be forced to make some incredible throws. He might make a few great ones, but against as talented a secondary as Missouri has, if he gets rushed often, he'll throw some picks.

James prediction- Missouri 34, Texas Tech- 20

On sunday, when all of these predictions turn out to be completely off the mark, I give you permission to smack me....just hard enough for me to feel it.
